Is it possible to make Transmission send Growl messages over the network to another computer? I run Transmission on a headless Ubuntu box as a torrent server and it would be extremely useful to have Growl notify me when a torrent is done!
This site http://segment7.net/projects/ruby/growl/ describes one possible way of doing it, but I have no experience with Ruby (or any coding at all, beyond the maze solver I just wrote in C++ for a university project!!)
Is there an easier way to do this? Ideally it would be build right into the *nix version of Transmission...
