Proper update for Iomega/Lenovo ix2-dl

Iomega/Lenovo provided me with Trasmission v2.77 for my ix2-dl Linux-based NAS box as the native client has issues. I believe what I am running is the web client-based version (see image attachment). I would like to update to the latest version of Transmission, but want to make sure that I am downloading the right distribution. Software installs and updates tend to come as .tar.gz files I believe. Any guidance or suggestions welcome. Cheers !
