custom domain?

Post by kevindosi »

this might be a silly question, but is there any way get the transmission web interface on a custom domain (ie. www.mydomain.com/transmission)? that would be nice, because i never know what my ip is.

if you use something like no-ip.com or dyndns you can have your domain auto updated to your ip.

So yes, you can.

I might be asking for too much, but would anyone be willing to write up a nice tutorial on this? I've experimented with it but to no avail. This would be really handy to know how to do, and I'd be greatly appreciative. Anyone?

there's how-tos on the dyndns.org site.
it's also a free service.
