Download via Web Interface

Unless I'm missing it, is there a way to download the completed file(s) via the web interface? Torrentflux provides this functionality via web and allows you to download multiple files by tarring them up on the fly. Is this in the works for Transmission?

What's the purpose of this feature? Isn't it easier to set up ftp or smb on the same machine where transmission is running?
