More than 15 uploads per torrent?

Post by mcgowanm »

Hi, I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 with Transmission 2.05 (11151) and I would like to be able to seed to more than 15 peers per torrent.

At the current time I have a lot of spare bandwidth just doing nothing but even with the number of peers set to maximum for both the system and per torrent, Transmission will never allow more than 15 simultaneous upload connections for any torrent in my list. When I look at the peers list for some of my more popular torrents, there are over 250 connected peers trying to download, any of whom would be able to download from me if this limit of 15 simultaneous uploads did not exist in Transmission.

I've checked all the settings, can't see any way of breaching this 15-upload limit and haven't been able to find anything useful anywhere on the net so I'd be grateful if anybody here knows. Can this limit be changed/removed and if so, how.

Thanks,
Mike :)

in your config file settings.json , change

"upload-slots-per-torrent": 14,

to desired number. this is all covered very well in the wiki:
