Hello,
hopefully this the correct subforum. I'm running transmission2.61(13407) in xubuntu12.10(32bit) vbox-guest. Host os is xubuntu 12.04(64bit).
Transmission keeps killing my pptp connection, and I don't know where to start looking for clues. Without transmission the connection is stable for hours.
The only thing I tried so far was changing the peers and bandwidth counters. Now the connection stays alive a bit longer, maybe couple of minutes.
thx

Re: transmission kills vpn - xubuntu12.10
I have a similar problem. Im running on a mac.
To cope with the issue. Under peers i un-ticked "use local peer discovery for public torrents" and the main thing is to limit the amount of bandwidth transmission can use. under bandwidth i set the speed limit mode: download rate to 10 KB/S AND Upload to 1Kb. Restart you vpn link and it should be fine. When you finish work the un click the turtle on transmission .
