Transmission crashes

Post by MarsX » Sun Feb 17, 2013 5:04 pm

My transmission crashes every time I go to [Edit>Preferences>Speed].

In console window I got

Code: Select all

(transmission-gtk:3116): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_get_style_context: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
Naruszenie ochrony pamięci (core dumped)
and in /var/log/syslog

Code: Select all

[ 345.128576] transmission-gt[3635]: segfault at c ip b749d926 sp bf987720 error 4 in[b7283000+4b3000]
I tried to reinstall gtk and transmission but problem not gone.
It occurs on freshly installed Kubuntu 12.04.2, Transmission v2.76

Can you help?

What is the Transmission revision number? Latest one is r14023.

Please test with r14023, if possible. Also, can you provide a crash report or backtrace?

MarsX, since you're experiencing a Transmission crash on Ubuntu, it's best to use the Ubuntu crash reporter to submit this issue to Launchpad. Launchpad's advantage over these forums is that it'll usually generate a great backtrace / crash report so that the Transmission developers can see what code was being executed right before the crash.
