Get more verbosity

Post by Sergio »

Hello

I'm using Transmission 2.51 in Ubuntu 12.04 Precise. I'm currently downloading a torrent and this torrent have three different trackers. One of the tracker is giving me 6 peers and the other two trackers are giving me 11 peers (3 seeders and 8 leechers). However Transmission only lists 2 peers in the peer list (and none of them are seeders). I clicked the Message Log option in the help menu and set the log level to debug to see why I cannot see any of the seeders but there is nothing there.

Is there any way (command line switch or something) to know why those peers are not reachable?

I have been looking around for an explanation and as far as I know there could be a lot of reasons for that, ranging from the peer not allowing downloads to a network issue or a closed port. However I would like to know why the peer is not reachable or usable. Is there any way to get this info?

Thanks in advance.
