Backup - re install - resume

Post by itatitl »

I am a newbie using transmission on Ubuntu. When I had to re install the system, I followed the instructions at http://wannurselfnotes.blogspot.in/2011 ... up-in.html. I saved the contents of the folder /home/username/.config/transmission and pasted them back after re installation. But transmission did not resume the downloads; none of the previous torrents were shown. Transmission was recognizing the files in /torrent as torrent files; but when I open them, it just adds the .added extension to the files and wont list them or download; just as how it used to behave when the torrent file opened is a duplicate. I tried re-installing Transmission and restoring the .config/transmission folder in various orders with no success. I did not change the contents of /resume or edit the settings.json. My download folder and torrent folder ( to automatically open) are the same as it was before.
Any suggestion?
Thanks,
