Transmission keeps transmitting data even with no torrents

Hello,

I've got Transmission running on Ubuntu 14.04. I have noticed that it is generating network activity even when there are no torrents shown in the GUI. The 'show all' view does not show a single torrent. Based on the stats from my router, it is transmitting at an average speed of 14-15 KB/s on the port which I have assigned to Transmission. That's over 1 GB of data sent in 24 hours. Over 100 UDP connections established through that port.

Why is this happening??? What is it uploading?

Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions. Turning off DHT did indeed reduce the outgoing traffic (as seen from the router) significantly.

But 1 GB of DHT data sent per day? That's crazy.

BTW, I've always had DHT enabled, but only in the last day or two did it start generating so much traffic. Strange.
