status report

Post by jwhitt12 »

I am running with ubuntu 16.04 and hope this is the right place for this. The following is a transmission status report:
greg@greg-movies:~$ sudo service transmission-daemon status
[sudo] password for greg:
● transmission-daemon.service - LSB: Start or stop the transmission-daemon.
Loaded: loaded (/etc/init.d/transmission-daemon; bad; vendor preset: enabled)
Active: active (running) since Mon 2017-01-23 15:29:54 PST; 17h ago
Docs: man:systemd-sysv-generator(8)
CGroup: /system.slice/transmission-daemon.service
└─1972 /usr/bin/transmission-daemon --config-dir /var/lib/transmission-daemon/info

Jan 23 15:29:55 greg-movies transmission-daemon[1972]: UDP Please add the line "net.core.wmem_max = 1048576" to /etc/sysctl.conf (tr-udp.c:

Jan 23 15:29:55 greg-movies transmission-daemon[1972]: transmission-daemon requiring authentication (daemon.c:554)
lines 1-17/17 (END)

I see that it wants me to add stuff to sysctl.conf as well as oher problems. I actually have two separate installations the .gtk version and the transmission-daemon.service I use the gtk version to deal with torrents got manually (no problems with this one). The daemon, on the other hand should be working with sonarr but they are not speaking currently. I can give you the sonarr error logs if you wish but I thought I would start with the above before going further.

I would appreciate any thoughts and/or suggestions on this - thank you...........

I apologize. I forgot something that might help:
