[LOCKED DUPLICATE] Memory Leak in 1.3.4 (6770)

Post by auctoris »

After updating to OS X 10.5.5 I began experiencing a memory leak in Transmission. I'm using the latest stable build. Transmission is the only application running on the machine and I can watch the free memory tick down every second. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks

you aren't explaining what the error is, do you mean you get less free RAM and much more inactive RAM? inactive RAM is just the same as free RAM but it is already used and will be used when there is no free RAM left so it doesn't matter at all

Thanks for the info. It's good to know this behavior shouldn't effect system performance.

But why does Transmission do this? I mean it's definitely not normal for an app to transfer all of your free memory to your inactive memory. Does anyone know?

Thanks
