downloading from 0 of 23 peers
downloading from 0 of 23 peers
I'm using version 1.50 on a MAC. I'm downloading 3 files and 1 of them is downloading fine, while the other 2 reached 73.92% complete and 75.16% complete and are now not downloading anymore. They are both connecting to peers, they both say 'downloading from 0 of 23 peers' and it's been almost a week now. I also have 4 other files that I'm seeding no problem...anyone have anything like this happening?
Re: downloading from 0 of 23 peers
Please see the "how to report a bug" post at the top of this forum and provide the information requested there in the "slow speeds" section. Specifically I'd be interested in knowing the information from the peers and tracker tab in the Inspector.
Re: downloading from 0 of 23 peers
Open the Inspector, click the 4th icon from the left (the black silhouette), and look at the bottom of the window. Are there any seeders?
If not, click the 2nd icon from the left, click Available, and examine the color-coded matrix. Perhaps you (and all the other peers) have all the portions currently available. Therefore, you've nothing to send one another and need a seeder.

Re: downloading from 0 of 23 peers
boy is my face red! I should have looked at the 'how to report a bug' page before posting! Thanks for the help, it's not downloaded yet, but I'm pretty sure it's that bottleneck, everyone blocking everyone else problem. If I pause my download, and start it in a few days, will it make a difference?
Re: downloading from 0 of 23 peers
If you're saying there are no seeders and none of the parts you need are available from the other peers, no one is blocking anyone else. The problem is simply that no one participating at the moment has the parts you need. If your upload speed is non-zero, though, you're at least providing parts to others that they need.I'm pretty sure it's that bottleneck, everyone blocking everyone else problem. You might as well keep the torrent active. That way, you help other peers who either are or will be participating soon and need parts you have, and you'll begin receiving data immediately if a seeder connects. I believe a stalled torrent (which is what you seem to have) uses almost none of your bandwidth -- just a bit for tracker overhead.
