Hi there, I am a newbie when it comes to all things torrent related so please bare with me. I have two PCs sharing an internet connection. I have noticed that when I am downloading a file with Transmission on one PC I lose the internet connection on the other PC on my network. Can someone explain to me if this is because they are both trying to use the same ports? I have read a little about port forwarding but don't fully understand it. If so can someone offer advice as to how I can carry on downloading on my computer without killing the internet connection to the other computer in my house?
Any advice will be much appreciated
Many thanks
Sean
Network problems using transmission
Re: Network problems using transmission
try capping your upload speed, if your upload speed is higher then you actual bandwidth upload limit it blocks the internet connection. (also cap the download speed, but that will cause less problems then the upload speed)
