I'll take a chance at asking this and not getting shot down

I tried to save a bit torrent and then run it through Transmissions. Here is the error message.

"The torrent file will not be able to be opened. A torrent file with no tracker address is only useful when you plan to upload the file to a tracker website that will add the address for you."

What happened? It was Sean Cody jack+andnick.torrent.

are you sure you double clicked it and did not drag and drop it into the Transmission window?
If you did that then it means the torrent you download doesn't have a tracker and the torrent is incorrect (try looking on the torrent sites if the torrent has seeders, if it doesn't have seeders it is most likely a dead torrent)
