Every time I star Transmission "Checks existing data"

Hi, whenever I start Transmission it checks the existing data of my downloads or seeds. It does this every time and it takes quite a while. All my files are on my internal HD and I do not move them between starting and quitting transmission but still it checks.

Any way to fix this?

do you force quit Transmission or your computer? (force quit your computer is pressing the button instead of witht the options above the screen)

No, I used the normal cmd-Q and then it said "Quitting" in the dock for a while, and then it quit.


Edit: Suddenly it stopped now. It did it for a couple of times but now it does not seem to do it anymore... :S
