Right Version of Transmission for my Operating System?

I've tried to install Transmission with no luck, everything downloads, but the program refuses to open. I was wondering if anyone could give me some general installation help? I am quite useless when it comes to computers, so any ideas would be useful.

I'm running Mac Os X 10.2.8
Processor 1.33 GHz PowerPC G4

I've tried Transmission version 0.2

Is my system just too old to run it, I know I can't use the newer versions of Transmission. Any ideas?

I don't think 10.2 was ever supported.

If something works on 10.2.x then you'll find it here http://download.m0k.org/transmission/files/ (everything that ends with .dmg is for mac) I hope for you something works on 10.2.x but I think it doesn't

Mac OS X 10.4 should run quite well on your Mac. That would enable you to use a more recent version of Transmission.

I did fear that my operating system wasn't supported. It is quite old now. I guess I'll have to go without until I can update...
