found a bug in 1.52

This has happened to 2 torrents so far. The torrent is downloading fine then stops when close to completion. Tried pausing and restarting then closing and opening transmission - didn't work. I had to remove the torrent then reimport but it only finds part of the data that was downloaded in the first place. I'm on latest version of Leopard.

And you are sure that there are peers with all that data?

yes, the specific torrents I was downloading had over 400 seeders and is a fast site. But, I saw with my own eyes how much had been downloaded
and how it differed when I loaded the same torrent back into transmission.
