Since I upgraded to the new version, I can't get a port to open either.

I've realized that the problem lies within the router as I took my macbook pro to a friend's house and port forwarded the ports for transmission and shakespeer there and it worked perfectly! Argh :(

My Netgear router has a history of being flakey and maybe yours is being flakey too. Double check your settings and unplug the router for a minute and then plug it back in. Do you have an option to use TCP or UDP for that port like I do? I think bittorrent only uses TCP (I could be wrong though, please let me know if I am!). Unfortunately from your screenshots we can't see the details of your selections.

I have been using TCP and UDP. I'm also uncertain whether both are necessary but I use both to ensure it works...
