Moving download folder location

Hi, i have been using Transmission for quite a while now and find it excelent, recently i have come across a problem and would like some advice.

i have a few rather large file downloads on the go at the moment and need to move my download folder to another drive to be able to free up drive space on my operating system, i would like to know how to do this, i tried copying the download folder and then telling transmission preferences by selecting the new location on the new drive but this did not work, im using mac OS X

any help appreciated

I'm not sure this will work for moving the files between HDDs, but...

Click on the display icon, left of the torrent name > select "Move Data Files..." [or equivalent]
