Transmission Gui for symbian s60v3.
You can remotely control your favourite torrent client from your mobile phone.
Transmission 1.71 is recommended!!! (It doesn't work on 1.5x, maybe on 1.6x - not tested!)
This program was tested on E51. The torrent client was: Popcorn Hour MNT / Transmission 1.71.
Please help me, tell me your opinion!

I tried it on my Nokia E51, but it seems a little buggy.

Installing Opera Mobile/Mini and simply using Transmission's web UI (which works especially well in landscape mode on my E51) is a good alternative.

I'm a bit of a novice here, can somebody please explain to me exactly which settings I need to complete for the host, username and password?

I have a dyndns address for my router and the machine is called 'imac' on the local network. No idea what user name/pword to use though - my user account on my local machine? Any suggestions?

The host name is the name of the system transmission is running on, either the name or IP address. You obviously want to pick the correct one depending on if you are accessing the system form within your firewall/router or externally.

If you did not create a uid and password for transmission, then you can leave these blank.

In my case I used the internal IP address, set the correct port and left the default path. Had it running in about 30 seconds.

Okay, I finally got this to work, very pleased with it. Set a password for access, no problem.

My missing link was that I hadn't forwarded port 9091 from my desktop client to my router. Once I did that, no problem - set my dyndns as hostname, added the username and password form the Transmission preferences and worked first time. Love it! Thanks bonym (if you're reading).

Although Clutch is no longer in development (just use the Tramission web gui) the instructions for setting up are similar and they're in layman's terms.
