cannot get prot forwarding to work

Post by cameht »

I am running mac OSX 10.5.7 transmission 1.7.1
connected via ethernet, to linksys WRT54GS router to Hughesnet HN7000S satelite modem.
UPnP IS enabled, i have added firewall access for transmission in the OS system prefs. and have even tried manually port forwarding through the router, but i CANNOT get port forwarding to work. below is the debug info... any help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

192.168.1.100 is usually an address provided by DHCP. Try setting your computers IP address manually and try again. You can't really use DHCP and port forwarding at the same time unless you are sure your computer is going to end up with the same address EVERYTIME (like there aren't any other computers in your house and your access point is secured).
