Group Management

Hello,
I use the group system alot to manage tracker. I have different ratio and upload rate for each group but each time I add a new torrent I must choose witch group it is and i must change its ratio and upload rate. I'v seen that in the last nightly mac binary, torrents can be added in groups automaticaly and it's a great thing.

What I would like to see is :

-Ratio and bandwich preferences for groups.
-Groups managements in Webui.

also it would be cool :

-Option to remove the torrent from the list when a ratio is achieved.
Scriptable event on adding, endding, ect... a torrent

There are already tickets for this and it will be done when we have time/feel like it. Since it's not so hard to do should I assume you're volunteering to implement this?

Well Transmission is written in C and Objective-C on Mac.

Just adding my +1 for per-group ratios and upload/download rates. I love the automatic grouping added in the last version.

Love the client -- have always raved about it. I stay on top of nightlies, and thoroughly enjoy finding the latest features and ideas that pop up now and then.

I think that bandwidth management settings, per group, is a terrific idea. I keep my torrents automatically grouped based on the tracker/community, and it would be fantastic to be able to limit the group's upload to a specific speed or set them all to a specific ratio. Otherwise, it's challenging to keep everything seeded, but still maintain balanced ratios for specific trackers/communities.

Thanks a million for a fantastic client. If I had the Objective-C balls required, I'd gladly dedicate some time to helping. Who knows... maybe someday I'll be able to.
