I'm using transmission 1.72 running on Synology station.
Problem is that I recieve 100-150 Mb per hour!!! of incomming traffic without downloading anything. I have around 50 torrents seeding but 0 in download.
How this could be?? I have tried to pause all seeding torrents and trafic becomes almost 0.
Please help to understand what is wrong here.

That is around 250kbps of download.
Depending on your upload speed, it could be due to the ACKs of those packets that you are sending + PEX traffic

even when you're not uploading or downloading, the torrent gets scraped.. well, basicely just updated.. this ofcourse causes traffic..
the same goes with just uploading, only now you have the connected peers requesting pieces of what you have.. or trying to connect to you.. this too causes traffic.. this traffic however is so-called maintenance traffic and as such has no effect on you're ratio or amount of down- or uploaded.. it will not show in Transmission as being traffic...
but it still is there when you look at the traffic from your network monitor..
also.. more torrents and higher upload speeds result in more traffic

was using utorrent before on pc and there was some trafic as you described but it was very low and for sure that was never 100-150 Mbytes per hour!
Can anyone post how many maintanace trafic you are having with transmission per any number of seeding torrents. Just to understand if that is something unique in my case or standard for transmission engine.

utorrent for windows does have a very low traffic count...
utorrent for mac though has even more then transmission...
the amount of traffic is not a science.. it depends on how many torrents you have running and how many people are connected with it and the speed of the swarm as well..
fast torrents with many connections means more traffic.. if you have 1 torrent with only 1 connection on a slow speed it might result in as much traffic as 8kb per hour
50 torrents is also a lot..
better keep the numbers lower.. so you'll seed much faster and be done with it faster and don't have so much unneeded traffic..
