"Watch for Torrents in ...."

Post by oraguru »

Hi

First of all, thanks a lot for Transmission, it's really the best torrent-dl I've ever seen.

One thing bothers me, that doesn't work properly, maybe someone can help. I have a Mac Mini in the cellar running nothing else that 'Transmission' and 'automatic'. The download folder is located on a large NAS Server. I have a large iMac in the office. If I stumble over a torrent I like, I can save it in a special directory on the NAS and the MacMini in the cellar should suppose to go and fetch it, and then download the file. Apart of Transmission I have one open finder window of the folder the torrents come in.

Problem is, it doesn't work automatically unless I connect to the MacMini and click on the open finder window sitting on that directory. It kind a needs like a 'refresh'. As soon as I touch the finder window, Transmission loads the files, cleans up the directory and starts downloading.

Why does it needs me to click in the finder to see the files ? Is that because this folder is not locally on the MacMini but sitting on the NAS ?

Thanks for a suggestion.

Keep up the good work!
