Re: Transmission 1.72 - Causes my MAC to freeze
I have an other crash report, I have now updated to the lastes build but it happens there too (when I have 20 tranfers or more downloading at the same time always at the max download speed (set 300KB/s)) so I hope you can find something in here:

nah it seems not to freeze when I have only a few torrents downloading (like 3) seems fine to me.x190 wrote:@essiw
Hopefully the pros will get back to you on the crash report. Meanwhile, have you tried the fix(es) given in this thread?

Re: Transmission 1.72 - Causes my MAC to freeze
That's my experience too. I just lowered the "Queues" numbers on the Transfers/Management preference panel and the lockups went away (downloads 2, seeding 20). I'd guess it's a multi-threading issue (possibly triggering an OS bug). It's happened with several different releases from 1.5x to 1.71 (I haven't tried increasing the queues on 1.73).essiw wrote:nah it seems not to freeze when I have only a few torrents downloading (like 3) seems fine to me.

No new news here, just wanted to chime in, this issue affected me over the last two days, and was wondering why my comp was freezing up! Had to resort to Applejack to get the Mac booting again
