roderick: it appears that the (1) indicates that Transmsision thinks your tracker URL is invalid. Could you post a screenshot? Or, if the announce URL is private, could you PM it to me and livings124?
If you're using SL I think there is a free video-making tool. That probably sounds like overkill here, but I agree with livings that it would be very helpful to see how this bug keeps occurring.
Also, as livings said, the build number is also very important.

I just wanted to chime in here. I was having the same problem with trying to create a torrent (Transmission 1.54 (8615) and OS X 10.4.11). From the file menu I would choose "Create Torrent". I would then select the files that I want in the torrent, and then the tracker information window comes up. I hit the "+" icon to add a tracker, and then paste in my tracker information, and then hit the create button and it would fail. So the problem is that I pasted the tracker info, and then immediately hit the create button. The focus is still on the field that I pasted the tracker info into. If I take one extra step, and click somewhere outside of the tracker info field that I just pasted, which broadens the focus from just the individual field to the larger tracker fields box, and then I hit "create" it works just fine!
