Data Loss... 12GB's gone?

I was downloading a 13GB torrent. It was at 12.6GB when my computer froze. Upon restarting the torrent it says I've only downloaded 156MB! Any way to get this data back? I'm using the newest version of Transmission on OS X 10.5.8.

A similar thing just happened to me, running Transmission 1.75 on a MacBook with Mac OS X 10.6.1. The computer froze up after downloading about 5.65GB of a 6.55GB torrent. I forced a restart, and started up Transmission again, forced it to recheck data, and it found only 767MB had been downloaded.

Did you try "Verify Local Data" in the Transfers menu?
