Quit faster

Its really a pain when you have to shutdown or restart. Transmission takes forever to quit. (on Snow Leopard here)

This is especially a pain when I have to run out of the house and have to wait to see if Transmission is going to quit or if its going to timeout again and prevent the shutdown all together. I'd rather it die unexpectedly and have to rehash the next time I start it. I'd rather wait while I'm using the computer than wait after I'm done with it.

Bottom line, this is a very annoying usability problem for me.

I've been working on this a little over the past week. Please try a nightly build and report back whether or not that improves things.
