very slow d/l speed

Post by dureem »

Hi,

I've gone through the troubleshooting guide for slow download speeds, and haven't solved
this problem. download speed is very slow to 0 kb/s. so here goes...

1. No speed limits set
2. 2000 global peers and 60 local
3. 22 seeds and 25 leechers
4. last anouncement: 20 minutes ago. last scrape: 20 minutes ago
5. one tier, one tracker
6. connected to 19 peers
7. torrent has not finished downloading
8. 8 peers have completed downloading, and several more have d/led more than me
9. port is open

if anyone could help, i'd really appreciate it.

well it should be higher then a few kB/s...
How high is your upload speed? You should cap your upload speed, because if it gets higher then your ISP can provide you (yes for some strange reason it can get higher) it blocks off your download speed to the minimum. check your upload speed at a website for it (sorry I don't have one, I only have a dutch one) and set the upload limit to 75% or less of it.

hope that helps :)
