I think you only need the --enable-static switch when running the configure script. You must have the static libraries to link to them, though.asgard wrote:How to I compile a static build for this version? I can't figure out what switches to use and setting the LDFLAGS is no use. I'm cross-compiling this for my NAS and seem like this version masked out the normal standard output during compilation. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Transmission 1.76 Released!

Re: Transmission 1.76 Released!
IIRC, this switch is enabled by default but I will give it a try anyway and feedback later.Rolcol wrote:I think you only need the --enable-static switch when running the configure script. You must have the static libraries to link to them, though.
Re: Transmission 1.76 Released!
Setting --enable-static which is enabled by default or setting LDFLAGS=-static work. Any more suggestion?
Re: Transmission 1.76 Released!
I take this back on extended use. It doesn't CRASH on exit anymore, but quitting the program can take between 30 to 60 seconds.alejito wrote:So far, the "session transfer" bugs as well as crash-on-exit seem fixed on my end (Snow Leopard user).
Looking good!

30 to 60 seconds is normal - trackers need to be contacted to report stats.

Could you try out a nightly build and see if it fixes the problem for you?Lutin wrote:Same problem as paulmisc. Transmission always crashes when quitting.

Re: Transmission 1.76 Released!
versions 1.76 and 1.75 freezed the whole system (MBP, 10.5.8) seriously, as described here before.
I downloaded nightly build 1.76+ (9809) and it seems to be stable.

Re: Transmission 1.76 Released!
Hi,
I'm using an optware build of 1.76 (9395) on my ASUS WL700ge router. All runs OK except that when I start two fast torrents at the same time, transmission locks up the router. I can't get any real evidence as I can't even telnet in when the problem occurs, but it seems like transmission is hogging the CPU somehow.
Thanks
