I think you only need the --enable-static switch when running the configure script. You must have the static libraries to link to them, though.

IIRC, this switch is enabled by default but I will give it a try anyway and feedback later.

Setting --enable-static which is enabled by default or setting LDFLAGS=-static work. Any more suggestion?

Looking good!
I take this back on extended use. It doesn't CRASH on exit anymore, but quitting the program can take between 30 to 60 seconds.

30 to 60 seconds is normal - trackers need to be contacted to report stats.

Looks like the 1.76 ARM package is broken on the repository - http://ppa.launchpad.net/transmissionbt ... l/Packages

iMac 7.1
MacOS 10.6.2

Problem with installed Transmission 1.76.

After start to download torrent nothing happened. I have to wait for few minutes to solve this problem. Sometimes I have to paused downloading or restart Transmission.

Could you try out a nightly build and see if it fixes the problem for you?

versions 1.76 and 1.75 freezed the whole system (MBP, 10.5.8) seriously, as described here before.
I downloaded nightly build 1.76+ (9809) and it seems to be stable.

Hi,

I'm using an optware build of 1.76 (9395) on my ASUS WL700ge router. All runs OK except that when I start two fast torrents at the same time, transmission locks up the router. I can't get any real evidence as I can't even telnet in when the problem occurs, but it seems like transmission is hogging the CPU somehow.

Thanks
