No download and upload speed visible in window

I run Transmission 1.72 on a PPC Mac with OS 10.4.11
I am sharing about 30 torrents, of which only about 5 are actively being seeded or leeched ie downloaded and uploaded simultaneously. It used to be possible to see the download and upload speeds and ratio on each of the items at the right-hand end of the window. Suddenly in the last few days this information has stopped appearing, no matter how far to the right I extend the window. Is there any way of making this information visible again? Thanks in advance.

1.72 requires at least Mac OS 10.5.

Whoops! I meant I have Version 1.54. Sorry. The problem referred to above has only just started happening, after a long time which was totally trouble-free.

FYI, I'm experiencing the same problem. Found that information really useful when it was there.
I've also had to downgrade from 1.8, but that had nothing to do with the disappearing info. The suggestion to downgrade to 1.35 is interesting. That release is very old, and the missing info was available in 1.76......

Been away for a while and not using Transmission. Curiously the problem has more or less sorted itself out: I didn't have to reinstall T or downdate to an earlier version than 1.54. Every now and then the information disappears again, but with window resizing and quitting the program from time to time, all the useful info. reappears in due course.
