No connection after a restart of Transmission 1.91

Post by Pihrra »

I noticed a weird bug with the new Transmission 1.91 (Mac version running on a MacBook Pro with Mac OS 10.6.2).
I started a few downloads while seeding some old files I already had with previous releases of Transmission and it went just fine.
For some reason I had to leave the house and couldn't let my computer running so I stopped Transmission.
When I came back I relaunched Transmission and although I had no error message both my uploads and downloads wouldn't start.

I usually don't have "so many" torrents running at the same time. It was just for the test

I tried to pause/restart manually as well as deleting the tracker's list and re-adding it. I also tried to start new torrents but they weren't working as well.
The port I use is open and I have no firewall at all.
Is there something I can do (I thought of deleting the preferences, but I don't want to lose my torrents so I didn't do it) ?

Edit :I forgot to specify those are well seeded torrents on both private and public trackers.

Just wanted to bump this to say I have exactly the same issue. I've even culled a lot of my torrents. Still nothing. Download won't start on new (well seeded) torrents either.

I was about to post something this as well.

I'm using transmission-1.91.10301-100302 in a linux enclosure and I've got exactly the same problem. Ports are opened and I'm reachable... but what's even worse, I'm not even recognized in a some private trackers, ie, I don't appear as a leecher or seeder even though Transmission says I'm either downloading or seeding.

I've done a few more tests today.

Before I have an upload and download limit of 80KB/s each to avoid problems with my bandwidth. I've just removed both limits and Transmission is now working in the range of 10KB/s to 150KB/s...

I still think there's something weird with the way it's currently handling the limit if that's set, as most of the times it goes down to 0KB/s after a few seconds of seeding...

If you're using DHCP, your router may have assigned your computer a different IP address. Check Network control panel against forwarded ports on the router.

Further to my post yesterday, I confirmed the port was open, and it was forwarded to the correct IP on the Airport. Since then I've installed the latest nightly build and it seems to have resolved the issue. Rather strange.
