Torrents deleted after finish (had to switch to uTorrent)

So this problem popped up out of no where, no settings in Transmission had been changed.

After a torrent has completed, it gets deleted. That's it. No trash can, not able to find it in spotlight or a more in depth search - it's just gone. I can watch it disappear, a few seconds after it's finished, it's gone. The only thing I haven't noticed is weather or not the files are still using space on the machine, but it's happened with a few fairly large torrents, and I haven't noticed a big decrease in space, so I'm reasonably sure they're all completely gone from the system.

I've checked settings over and over, I've tried different download locations, I've tried searching for the mystery files, moving the files to another location the second it's done, etc...

The only thing that has solved the problem, was switching to uTorrent. Everything works fine now - except for the fact that I'm using uTorrent. I've been using Transmission since day 1, and I'd like to continue to use it but obviously it's worthless if everything I download gets deleted as soon as it finishes.

I'm running Transmission 1.83 (10040), and OSX 10.6.2

Transmission has always worked beautifully for me from 1.76 up to 1.92 UNTIL...
as soon as I donated to the developer, my downloads started to disappear as soon as they completed. Nothing else was changed!
