Transmission on QNAP NAS TS-119

Post by Trigger73 »

Newbie with Problems!!

I have successfully got Transmission to work on TS119!!!! but having other issues with: -

1). I can access Transmission from the web browser, http://192.168.0.5:9091 but am having difficulty adding torrents. I can only add .torrent files if they are already on my PC. If I try to add a URL, http://bitsoup.org + torrent ref nothing happens

2). I have installed transmission-remote-gui but when I go to the local settings page everything is locked and there is not a host (ip of NAS) shown. How can I add/un lock this?. If I double click on a .torrent file the remote-gui opens and it trys to connect but fails.

Thanks in advance

1). Is my problem with RSS feeds???. I have found a way of adding torrents but once added it is not registering that there are any seeds, therefore does not download?.

2). I have worked out how to add a host but it still does not connect when I try to add a torrent. I am pretty sure this is a port forwarding issue. I have opened ports 9091 and 51143 but still nothing???. How do I open a port on my NAS which sits behind a Modem/Router???

Thanks again.

I'm also a newbie to Transmission. I have a QNAP T219P and I have tried all possible options for the host name in the Windows based Transmission GUI. How did you figure out what to use?
I have opened ports 9091 and 51413 on my router also. Did you have success after doing that?

Thanks in advance

I'm actually having the same problem as well. I've entered the IP of my QNAP NAS and it won't let me connect with or without authentication being used. Any ideas?
