Are you coding support for "magnet links" handling in the next version?

Hi,

I have a problem. With Transmission Remote I could not change the default location of the downloads folder. I tried to change through Remote but did not change. Finally I have to change it through in built web interface.

Second question, I have is, as in uTorrent, can I adjust the bandwidth per torrent basis. like for torrents already older, I can seed with lower bandwidth.

Third question, I could not find anywhere to adjust the bandwidth automatically if seed ratio reaches at certain point, to give room for new torrents ( as in uTorrent)

Is scheduler available for the week on an hourly basis?

I am asking all these questions, because I am used to uTorrent and BitTorrent clients. To install these lots of softwares require in Linux like Python, etc., which I donot want. Happy about Transmission .

I have tried and tried to find a better solution for my headless torrent box no matter what I try I always end up back with transmission. Transmission plus webmin make it a breeze to manage the machine. Only thing I'm having problems with is that no matter how many times I input the command for transmission to watch a folder it simply refuses to do so. But manually uploading via the web client is ok for now.

In 1.80 you can set the watch folder for transmission-daemon in the settings.json file like so:

Code: Select all

    "watch-dir": "\/mnt\/disk1\/media\/Unsorted",
    "watch-dir-enabled": true
Full list of options is in the wiki http://trac.transmissionbt.com/wiki/EditConfigFiles

hi!
i'm using this gui in 1.4 version on ubuntu 10.04 and it is great! i men, i really love it!
however, i have few questions and sugestions;
1) i can't run it without running transmission qt. it just says that it can't connect to the daemon or something. obviously i have to run daemon first. please tell me how to do that.
2) i'm just abot to finish translation to croatian, so, mr. developer,would it be ok if i send it to you how. :-)
3) few sugestions: single click on tray icon to open/close to tray;
tray icon has a white backround, which isn't very pretty if you have dark panel...

and that's about it.

thx a lot
sorry for my poor english.

Portable

Here's a suggestion: This application would really be very useful as a portable application, especially (though not necessarily) for PortableApps.com. Would you consider building a portable version?

Something that I think would be cool is to add an option for the user indicate to the program where is the executable "TransmissionDaemon.exe" compiled for Windows.

Thus the Remote GUI would also become a Transmission ported to Windows without requiring an external computer running a headless server.

It would be great.

I am running the remote on windows...is it possible to use a torrent watch directory on my windows machine? (my transmission-daemon is running headless on a debian box).

@jusid: Could you please add an option in the windows version to re-associate with torrent files?
Also it would be great to have an option to add trackers to a loaded torrent. Either manually and/or automatically when adding a torrent with the same content, but from a different source and with different list of announcers.

Hi,

Fantastic software. Keep up the good work.

I have a few suggestions.

When moving a torrent to a new data directory files that are not exactly the same (case sensitive) are not moved. I realize some file systems are case sensitive but some are not. An option to ignore case sensitivity would be good.

It would also be helpful if you could select text for copy/paste purposes in the file listing of the torrent and a few other places as well. This just makes life easier.

Finally. A batch add option would be good.

Thanks again. Great software.

Cheers,
Matt

I am currently running transgui 3.2 on 4 separate (but basically identically configured) debian boxes. I have perfect success on 3 of them, but on one of them I get this error when starting:

Runtime error 216 at $00000000004EE829
$00000000004EE829

I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Tried different versions of transgui. Shut down and restarted. Cleared the .config file. No luck. I have Googled and can't find any mention of this. What is an error 216?

It's strange because it worked for a few hours and then locked up. I had to kill the process. Now I just get the error when I try to start transgui.

Any help? I love transgui and really don't want to be without it. Thanks.
