[LOCKED DUPLICATE] Why can't I download any torrents?

Hopefully there is a simple solution to this. Transmission was working fine for me, and now suddenly whenever I try to download new torrents it displays a message that says "The transfer cannot be added because it is a duplicate of an already existing transfer." How can I go back to using it normally? Thanks in advance!

I believe this user is actually having the same problem I am. I am trying to add new torrents with different hashes, yet am still getting the duplicate message. As of right now, I can't add any single torrent because I get the duplicate message for every one of them.

Same problem here. Added one torrent today fine then upgraded to 2.02 and now get the duplicate message trying to add ANY torrents.

UPDATE: After a little more testing, I've discovered that what might be occurring is that when I attempt to add a torrent, the software does not display the torrent being active in the window, nor does it start to download it. So, when I try to add the torrent again, because I can't see that it's active, it gives me the duplication message.

I've currently downgraded my Transmission version and everything is back working fine.

Okay same as Brazzam for me too. I downgraded to 2.01 via this link http://mirrors.m0k.org/transmission/fil ... n-2.01.dmg and now I can add torrents again.

Had the same issue too directly after latest update. Back on previous version and everything is back to normal.

I confirm the bug introduced with 2.02

My Web browser is Mozilla Firefox 3.6.6 with FlashGot (internal browser download).

The Add Windows does not displays. I've got a duplicate error instead.

No new torrent listed on main window.

Every thread about this issue has rude and patronizing replies from regular forum users like x190. I see new users carefully explaining their problem, offering to send screenshots, and getting shot down because it's not conceivable that 2.0.2 could have a bug.
