Two problems

Post by Light »

Just wondering about two problems I often encounter:

1. Often the transfer will complete but it will continue to seed despite the ratio set to '0.00' in the preferences. I find it set to "Seed Forever" in the options on the left and have to manually set it to "Global" for it to stop. Perhaps a checkbox could be implemented that stops all transfers upon completion?

(Upon further inspection, this might be caused when you resume a paused torrent that has been paused after being added).

2. I've seen a number of torrents reach the point of 99.3% completion and the speed drops completely to 1.0 kb/s or less leaving the torrent with a small chance of completing on its own unless I pause it and resume it so the speed can go back to normal. Azureus never had this problem so I'm guessing it's a Transmission related problem rather than a problem with the tracker I'm downloading from.

Any ideas would be great.

Transmission has to able to upload something to operate, so maybe 0.00 is interpreted as no setting. Try setting a ratio of some sort--torrenting is a two way street. :)
I set my ratio higher but it still seems to continuously seed even though it has passed the global ratio. Is there something you guys put in the code to influence seeding or can this be considered a bug?
