Reseed after deleting data file

Post by j-mo »

Sorry in advance if this subject has already been posted. I searched through the posts and couldn't find any specific reference.

Running v2.04. I've accidentally removed a file via "Remove Data File…" Since this action moves the file to the trash, I retrieved it and the Torrent file and would like to continue seeding. Dragging the torrent into Transmission prompts the "Add" dialog and appears to re-download which I don't want to do (obviously).

Am I missing something simple or have I lost the ability to continue seeding once I removed the data file from within Transmission.

Thanks for any help.

in the add dialog, select the folder that contains the file/folder of the torrent data, and press the "verify local data" button. it should get up to 100%, so transmission will start seeding when you start the torrent. if it stays at 0% then you've selected the wrong location.
