Hello,
I've been desperately trying to figure out how to bypass my school's firewall, as I cannot download torrents while in class. I can download the torrent target files fine from sites such as tracker.example.com, tracker.example.com, etc. but once they are in Transmission they don't find seeds and just stay at 0%. I've tried researching this issue and have read about SSH clients and so forth, but I admittedly don't understand them very well. I've read about programs like puTTY but it appears its only for PC and I'm running Mac OSX. If anyone can shed some light on this issue for me and provide some basic steps to resolve this I would GREATLY appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!

...look, I'm glad you're using Transmission, but there's a Time and a Place and you're 0 for 2.
Your Mac's got a calculator, right? Good. Take the total amount spent tuition, housing, meal plans, parking permits, administrative fees, and everything else school-related this semester. Now, divide that by the number of days in the semester. Got that? That's how much somebody -- not you, apparently -- spent on you today for you to spend your classtime torrenting.
You're at university for a reason, and torrenting in class is not it. If that's your goal, you can drop out of college now and live homeless next to some wifi hotspot -- preferably a coffeehouse so you can eat other peoples' leftovers -- and save someone a lot of money.
Your mother and I are very disappointed in you, son.
