Transmission global speed limit error (Max 8589K)

Post by alaci »

Hi!

I am limiting the global download speed to 9000KB. The download speed goes down to 2000KB! If I set limit 8000KB, the limit works well. (All torrents are unlimited I use only global limit) I tested nightly build (2.12) and the problem is same. If the speed limit is greater than ~8500KB the download speed go down to ~2000KB!

2.04 works well!

Sorry for my poor English!

Same problem for me.
When I use values for speed-limit-down less than about 8500, they are honored.
When I use higher values for speed-limit-down, download speed drops to about 1MB/sec or less.

Same story with speed-limit-upload.

I use transmission-2.33 on FreeBSD-7.

May be there is an overflow in some counter(s)?

Hello!

What are the plans to commit patch from ticket/4402?

Problem seems rather annoying and the patch is ready.

Thanks!

Hello!

Is there any particular reason why this patch can't be included into next transmission release?

Thanks.

I have the same issue, problem is the Transmission module. I would like to upload the torrent files in the evenings, because the machine itself quiet.
The external HDD will upload the files. Transmissional-checking the files. The files that start them with a web-ui. (seed)

Irish problem but a little time: Error: Unable to save resume file: Invalid argument

If I download, then I get this error: Error: Unable to save resume file: No such file or directory

Transmission 2.12
External HDD File System: EXT3, and USB connected.
Asus O! play -> Firmware HD2 12/01/2006 REV2
Swap partition: 900 MB

I still have this problem! (Ubuntu 12.04 64bit) This error is very annoying. (v2.61) I can't control the global download or upload speed higher than 8589K, because the global speed slows down. I tried the latest svn version as well but it does not work. Is there any solution? Or the problem will be fixed? Past 3 years...
