[LOCKED DUPLICATE] Avoid downloading non-selected files

Often on multifile torrents, adjacent files to the selected ones get written to disk even though they are obviously not wanted and so they occupy disk space needlessly. It would be great if Transmission could handle this more intelligently. I assume there is a need to download some of the adjacent data because of the packets being atomic (or something like that)? But perhaps this could be managed in a per-torrent cache instead, and discarded once the wanted data has been saved (or something like that)?
