move data file to.. QUESTION.

so i have organized the torrents im seeding in a specific folder most of which are working but the first 3 that i got from the tracker i did not organize in this specific folder so i moved them there, i go to move data file to, and select the folder the data is in, but when i go to verify data the status bar doesnt even turn yellow letting me know its trying to verify it, but when i choose the main folder that the album folder is in as the move data file to folder, then try to verify it, it tries to verify it but doesnt find the file? im so confused what am i doing wrong here?

ok nvm i just had to delete the data file and then reopen it and it allowed me to verify it once i was adding it freshly back to the list, but still why couldnt i just verify it without having to delete and re-add it???
