Transmission 2.22 Fails to start at all

First, I apologize if this is a duplicated thread. If so, please direct me to the proper channel. That said, neither extensive googling, nor combing these boards seems to have the answer.

I am running Transmission 2.22 on OSX 10.5.8 with the latest security update. Transmission worked fine last night, but upon starting my computer today, T2.22 fails to start any which way. Other programs start, and other torrent programs will start and function properly. Transmission's icon will bounce on the doc for a short while and then disappear. I get no error messages, and the window never materializes, the icon just bounces and disappears without evidently starting the program. I've already tried reinstalling T anew, and there was no change.

After a restart of my computer, T's dock icon now bounces for longer, and hangs the system before crashing. Still, no window opens. It does, however, now output the following error report (apologies for super long paste, I don't know which parts might be useful or not so I just copied and pasted the whole thing) :

Oh, I forgot to mention that I just installed the latest security update last night, and it would be the startup directly after the installation of that update where this problem began. Should I step back a security update? If so, how would I go about doing that?

Ok, I tried that, the only thing was that org.m0k.transmission.LSSharedFileList.plst did not seem to exist on my computer. Anyway, moved the rest to my desktop, deleted transmission, and reinstalled. Behavior remained the same upon new install. So I tried using AppCleaner to delete everything and install again, still no dice.

I also just tried the same thing with installing the latest release beta and it still does not work and behaves no differently.

My localization should be standard US English as was default on my OSX 10.8.5, and should not have changed from one day when T was working and the next when it was not. The only difference I am aware of is the newest Apple update. The problems arose directly after that latest update was downloaded and I restarted the computer. I have reinstalled Transmission 2.22 again in an effort to get more error reports, but it still will give me no more error reports. It simply bounces the icon on the dock bar for a while, maybe hangs the OS for about 15-30 seconds, then quits/crashes and the OS unfreezes.

Well, thanks for the answer, I did not take the time to read the output. Well, then I think the updater should be a little smarter than it is. I should have read the message in sparkle, but who reads everything righ. I just noticed that it was now intel only. At least, it should not be at the end of what looks like an inocuous message. I think it is really easy to miss. I'll know better next time.
