kevent... sounds like it could be a problem with libevent2. I don't think Transmission itself directly works with kevent.

Ever since the update to Transmission 2.22 I've been getting "bad file descriptor" on a few files. Not always the same ones. fsck shows the drives to be clean.

Still happening. Example (torrent name replaced by abcde, file name replaced by abcde.fgh):

Sun Apr 10 22:42:46 2011 error abcde write failed for "abcde.fgh": Bad file descriptor
Sun Apr 10 22:42:46 2011 error abcde Bad file descriptor (/media/abcde/abcde.fgh)
Sun Apr 10 22:42:47 2011 error abcde write failed for "abcde.fgh": Bad file descriptor

It's happening in many torrents on different drives. All ext4. All recently fsck'd. Nothing relevant seems to be in system logs.

I've been getting this error as well, on a clean, fully fsck'd JFS filesystem. Torrents will pause themselves in the middle of downloading, then once I start them again the error disappears and they download fine. Then later on they will pause again with the same error!

Anyone have anything further on this issue? It's gotten annoying enough that I'm considering changing clients.

I still have the problem with Transmission 2.33 on Ubuntu Natty amd64. I suspect it's a problem with the libevent library, so I'm installing the version from Oneiric.

I solved this problem by stopping other torrents. Dunno why, but this error appears if i start seed more than 11 torrents.
