I upgraded from v2.22 to v2.31 the other day on Ubuntu 10.04LTS, using the Lucid PPA, and have had nothing but trouble. I'd like to go back to v2.22 which worked well for me, but I'm not sure how to do that with the PPA environment. Any pointers would be appreciated. I know I can remove the PPA and go back to the std repo version (1.96) but I'd like to get the v2.22 version.

I don't know much about Ubuntu PPAs, but it looks like 2.22 is available here:
