Transmission 2.41 and Transmission Remote

Tried upgrading from 2.33 to 2.41, but Transmission Remote is only able to detect the status of downloading torrents i.e. finished, stopped or seeding statuses are not detected. The release notes did not indicate any real changes to the interface. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks

Are you mixing versions?

transmission-remote 2.4x doesn't completely work with older daemons.

No, it's transmission remote 3.1, the current version

What do you mean "transmission remote 3.1" ?

Are you talking about transmission-remote or something else? Anyway, you can't mix old versions of anything with a new daemon, the RPC changed.

Just to advise that this problem is solved with transmission-remote-gui 3.2.1 required to access transmission 2.4 which is downloadable from

Good that it's fixed, but that particular software is third party so please take such support question to that developer instead of the transmission team next time.

If the transmission team included some form of indication in the release notes that they were making changes that may impact third party products, then this would avoid the question being asked in the first place

Apologies, the official release of transmission-remote-gui version 3.2, which is compatible with transmission 2.40+ is now available from their web site
