Why is "maximum peers overall" limited to 1024?
Why is "maximum peers overall" limited to 1024?
I use Transmission on linux machine and I'm curious where the 1024 number gets from? Does this have anything to do with default limit of opened file descriptors per process?
Re: Why is "maximum peers overall" limited to 1024?
Does this mean that if I set higher limit in the operating system and manually edit configuration file to use value higher than 1024, transmission will be able to connect to more than 1024 peers?
