Torrent not working please help!

Hey I am trying to be able to send torrents to my friend that i created and It looks like sometimes I am able to get him connected but no downloading occurs.

I think it may have something to do with the fact that it says "port is closed" in Preferences > Network.

I was hoping someone could help me if I posted this debug info, I would really really really really appreciate some help. I am not exactly a computer expert so please dont say too many big words! thanks!
