bandwidth limit not honored

Tried today to limit download speed but the function seem to not work, tried the speed limit mode to setup 50K the download continued @ full speed, then tried use the global speed limit same result continued at full speed.


(downloading Debian install images 2 and Lib Office 2 releases as well)


Downloaded Transmission 2.51, 2.50, 2.42, 2.41, tested all of them with the same result.

I do remember some of the past releases honor speed limits, but seem to the versions listed above do not honor speed limits.

Any idea which version honor speed limit ?

Yes I used to use speed limit before, both options, either global limit when needed or "Speed Limit Mode" when just like to slow down and have more available bandwidth.

As I posted the initial note, the Lib Office finished (3 concurrent downloads) and Debian two CD images let me change the download speed.

So I wondering if the number of concurrent downloads have something to do with the speed limit as the Transmission maybe unable slow it down, or if the Lib Office have some strange setup, which I don't think so . .

Anyway when the download drop to two concurrent downloads both of the functions start working (using 2.51 Transmission)

I was able limit speed using "global bandwidth limit" to 100K and the "speed limit mode" allowed me use 50K
Not sure where the problem is but seem to concurrent download over 2 seem to not allow me slow down the speed.

Are you sure you are putting the limit in bytes and not bits
